This month, we bring you a new Attendance view of Rapid Aware, Secondary Sites and Personnel Type reports, Electrical Vehicle records and more!

The Activity view in Rapid Aware lets you explore, investigate, review and export all recognition events captured by cameras and kiosks, providing a comprehensive overview of everything that happens on your premises. With various subsections, you can filter and focus your data to address specific questions.  

This month, we updated the Attendance view of Activity to include breakdowns by visitor type and compliance, providing a snapshot of everyone seen on site and the compliance rate during a period of time. By adjusting the time reference, you can identify trends and assess the impact of rules or procedural changes.

A new Presence status field has also been added, showing whether an individual is currently Onsite (with their location), Checked Out (including total time spent onsite), Stopped (if unable to check in due to incomplete courses, documents, or inductions), or Seen (if they were not checked in but were detected by a kiosk or camera), for accurate record keeping and site stats.

Secondary Sites and Secondary Personnel Types report

Sites and Personnel Types are two of the most important settings across Rapid products, as they help categorise people based on where they are located and working, and their roles and functions. This categorisation is crucial to assign the correct training and compliance requirements and to generate accurate reports. That’s why our products allow for both Primary and Secondary items for Sites and Personnel Types.

A common use case for Secondary Sites involves employees that are also contractors of other businesses, in which case they have their employment location listed as the Primary Site, and the contracting location as the Secondary Site. Secondary Personnel Types help allocate workers to specific job roles, requiring trade-specific licencing and inductions.

We have taken the opportunity to include Secondary Sites and Secondary Personnel Types to the Trainee Report, to easily track and report on individuals who operate across multiple sites or roles.

Remote Management of Anti-Passback Settings

Tablets and kiosks simplify signing people in and out of a site across multiple entry points, and they also offer advanced security features like ID checks and anti-passback—designed to prevent improper consecutive entries. However, managing settings across many devices can be challenging, especially if physical access is needed. 

That’s why, for the last few months, we’ve been working hard so more Rapid Aware – Doorkeeper settings can be configured remotely via the web app, making management easier and more efficient. Customers using our weatherproof Android tablets at Entry Checkpoints can enable or disable anti-passback, adjust waiting times between check-ins, and more—all from the comfort of the web.

Register and report on Electric Vehicles

Customers using the Transport feature in our Contractor Management module can now select Electric Vehicles as a type. 

As more organizations and individuals transition to sustainable transportation, this feature allows you to accurately track, categorize and report on electric vehicles that are operational across all your sites. Not only does this support greener operations, but it also ensures proper compliance with any relevant environmental regulations or incentives tied to electric vehicle use.

Auditor improvements

Up until now, there was no visibility regarding which items (or assets) an audit related to without accessing each item’s details one by one. To address this, we added an extra Item filter in the Audits list, making it easier to narrow down all audits related to a specific item or multiple items. 

We also created a new Worker report that shows all basic worker details (First Name, Last Name, Email, Mobile, Type, and InducteeID), so you can quickly review and export essential personnel information.

Bug fixes and improvements

Over the last year, there has been a transformation of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator with an increased regulatory scope and newer precedents formulated from recent cases. As a result, it’s more important than ever to make sure that your Transport records are in order. So, in addition to the Electrical vehicle support, we fixed a UI issue that hid deleted vehicles from view and another that sometimes caused incorrect document statuses to be displayed, and fixed the XLS export button. 

We also addressed a few issues within the Auditor product: missing sub-category information in the Actions spreadsheet, intermittent filtering issues, and missing comments from the Asset/Item reports. 

Lastly, we tackled a few Rapid Access issues that involved missing hosts from the Visitor Host List (happening to clients with more than 300 hosts available to select), missing data in scheduled reports and intermittent 500 errors when trying to set a geolocation.
