Since using Rapid Induct, we can clearly communicate that we have a robust process in place, as we could not accurately demonstrate this before.

An online method was necessary to replace the face-to-face inductions as it was difficult to guarantee a consistent message across all divisions. Although staff were committed to HS&E they often had to manage competing priorities.

Moving to using Rapid Induct, the first change we observed was people’s willingness to attend the induction compared to people being bored with the face-to-face approach. They can complete the induction in their own time and at their own pace. In general we get a very positive reaction.

Rapid Induct is one of the easiest safety initiatives we’ve introduced. We’ve found people are now more aware of the hazards they face and this in turn has increased the commitment to a safer workplace.

Prior to using Rapid Induct, we did not have a clear system, a true process that would induct our contractors into our OH&S requirements. We were also developing an automated system for dispatching service requests to contractors and found that there was a big loophole that allowed us to send a service request to a service agent even if their insurances or inductions were not up to date.

We worked with the Rapid Global Sales Director Mike Duffield, to develop a system that would integrate with our current system and resolve this loophole. Integrating the two systems put us into line with the Australian Work Health Safety 2012 legislation.We are now also using Rapid Induct for our employee training and inductions. This has addressed any internal gaps in our training system and has provided us with a platform where we can now train them.Employees can now do an induction and we know that they have completed the training to a standard with an assessment. It also provides proof that they are competent at their role.

Rapid Global really made us feel comfortable that they knew exactly what we wanted before we made our commitment to their solution. The implementation process was simple and easy to follow. We didn’t need much instruction and we were able to write our own the courses easily with assistance from the Rapid Global Client Services Team to format our courses. The Rapid Incident Reporting database has assisted our company to have a streamlined system to report incidents and to complete investigations. The immediate notifications through email to all required stakeholders allows for comments to be made and actions to be taken.
