How to view corrective actions when they are not visible

Once an investigation has been completed the investigation needs to be approved before the corrective actions are assigned.  An administrator requires the ‘Approve Investigations’ permission to be able to complete this action.

Log into the system and access the incident tab.  Enter the incident number in the Keyword field and click Search.  Check the status of the incident. Match the status to the list below and take the required action.

  • Investigating: administrator needs to log in and click the investigation hyperlink on the incident screen.  Scroll down to the bottom of the investigation form and click Finish. The system will check that all mandatory sections are completed and then will email the distribution list.
  • Investigation awaiting approval: administrator needs to log in and click the investigation awaiting approval hyperlink on the incident screen.  Click the radio button next to the incident and click the Approve button.

Note 1: Not all clients have the approval process as part of their system.

Note 2: If you click the Edit button on the Investigation Tab there will only be a save button on the bottom of the investigation form – it is important to use the hyperlink from the incident search tab or the investigate button on the investigation tab to be able to finish an investigation.
